Projects and saving
How DedCut keeps your work: .dedcut files, auto-save and backup versions.
An editing project is a .dedcut file. It doesn’t copy your videos: it remembers where they are and everything you did. DedCut also saves your work automatically and keeps backup versions so you can go back.
Where to find itMenu at the top left (new, open, save); recent projects and backup versions on the home screen.
What you can do
- Save with Ctrl+S.
- Reopen a recent project from the home screen, or double-click a .dedcut file.
- Restore a backup version of a project.
- Move a project to the Recycle Bin from the home screen.
Good to know
If a video was moved, DedCut helps you find it again.
After a crash, DedCut reopens your last project as it was on the next start.
